Temple Park Centre is one of the largest and most popular leisure centres in South Tyneside. The Centre provides fabulous facilities and an extensive range of activities to suit everyone. From the leisure pool to exercise classes to health and beauty treatments to children’s fun time!

BodySHOKK Youth Gym is our latest attraction for ages 8 - 13 year olds and comprises of unusual funky equipment as well as the standard gym range, such as our Balance Board which is designed to develop co- ordination, cardio and strength training, Freestanding Boxing Bags, Multi- Gym and our ever popular Target Wall.

Temple Park Skatepark! has a 3ft bowl and a driveway with ledge. This concourse is wide, clean and fast and a must for all skaters, boarders and riders!

How to get there
The centre is ideally situated between South Shields and Sunderland on the A1300 John Reid Road and is set within Temple Memorial Park. Approximately 2 miles from South Shields Town Centre, it also benefits from a security patrolled on-site car park every day.

We have on site car parking which is security patrolled and costs 60p for the whole day.
We have our sports hall which is available for 5- a- side, badminton, netball, basketball and cricket. Nets are also available for booking, just contact reception for information. We also have three squash competition standard sports courts and is also available for booking all day every day.
